Working For Us

Harland + Voss wants to be one of the best employers of residential and commercial electricians in London. We offer highly competitive salaries, opportunities for voluntary overtime, generous paid holiday, financial support for training and a range of benefits. We also want to provide a friendly and fair working environment where everyone has opportunities for professional development, and where everyone is valued and respected.

Electricians who work with us are committed to a career in residential and commercial maintenance electrics. They take pride in achieving high standards of work, and show a keen interest in improving their skills and formal qualifications. They enjoy working directly with customers, and have excellent interpersonal skills. They believe in dealing straightforwardly and honestly with everyone they work with. They pass a challenging selection process which includes a stringent probationary period.

All our electricians have appropriate qualifications gained either in the UK or the EU, or in a similarly rigorous jurisdiction. All of them have a full driving licence. And, of course, all of them have the right legally to work in the UK.

If you are interested in working with us, please take a look at what you’ll need to be considered for a job with Harland + Voss.

Electrical Inspectors and Testers

In order to allow our electricians to develop their careers with us, we are not recruiting at inspector and tester level for the foreseeable future.

Senior Electricians/Electricians

A qualification in inspection and testing is essential for working with us, even at electrician level. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of working competently without supervision. Your previous experience may come from many areas, but most of it will have been gained in the residential, hotel, retail and commercial maintenance sectors.

Allocation to senior level is depends on your range of skills and technical competence on entry. Progression is entirely on merit. You will be encouraged to develop a range of technical, management and customer service skills so that, whether your career plans lie on or off the tools, you can achieve your future goals.

You are welcome to send a CV at any time. All potentially suitable applications are acknowledged and shortlisted candidates are contacted when vacancies arise. These can be at any time, but are particularly likely in January/February, May/June and October each year. If you would like to submit your CV, please e-mail it to talent@harlandvoss.com together with a covering letter.

Trainees, Apprentices and Work Experience

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any traineeships, apprenticeships or work experience opportunities. Despite this, we receive many requests each year which, sadly, we are unable to acknowledge. Speculative enquiries for these kinds of work are not kept on file.

If we can help you with your electrical needs, please call us on 020 8451 0345 or send us a message.
